Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of school leaderships' activation of the Community Partnership Initiative in public schools, in light of the standards of the Excellence Award (Ertiqaa). Moreover, it identifies the challenges around activating the initiative encountered by school leaderships. The scope of the study includes all of the female principals of the public schools located in Al Ahsa – 286 in total. From these, a ( )286 random sample group was selected, comprised of 201 female principals. In order to ()201 achieve the study’s objectives, a descriptive research methodology was used, and a . questionnaire was developed as a study tool. The results demonstrate that, in reality, the degree of implementation of the Community Partnership Initiative in public schools, in light of the standards of Excellence Award (Ertiqaa), varies across different dimensions. ( ) : In descending order of the level of implementation, these dimensions are as follows: establishment, planning, execution, training, effects of the practices, and improvement and innovation. In addition, participants demonstrated a strong agreement that the increasing administrative workload borne by school leaderships and a lack of qualified administrative cadres with specialisms in activating the programs of community partnership are challenges that school leaderships face. Finally, the study makes a . number of recommendations, such as establishing partnerships with universities and educational research centres to conduct research in this field, the results of which could benefit the planning of programs of community partnership.
